The Full Story

About Sarah

After 14 years building brands at Google, Twitter, and a unicorn startup,  I thought I understood marketing. I'd launched 100+ products, managed big budgets, and repositioned Twitter's SMB offering to grow their audience 10% year-over-year.

Then I became a parent—and experienced family-focused marketing from the other side.
A lot of it missed the mark. Generic "busy mom" messaging. Marketing that created anxiety instead of reducing the mental load. Brands claiming to "understand parents" but clearly studying us from the outside.

These companies had good intentions and solved real problems, but their marketing and positioning lacked the strategic insights needed to break through.

The breaking point

After seeing this landscape, I knew I wanted to work with businesses helping families, but I stayed in my corporate role thinking a strong rebrand delivery would lead to advancement. My performance reviews were excellent. But when it came time for a raise, I'd "hit the cap for my band." Spot bonus instead.

I felt used. Like all the stress and time away from my kid had been for someone else's gain.

But I couldn't quit immediately. I planned to return from maternity leave, collect my bonus after several months and build consulting on the side.

Then one month before my return to work, I was laid off. My last day: the day before I was scheduled to go back.

Corporate America showed its true colors again – the bottom line matters more than people. But it did give me the runway I needed and permission to stop playing it safe.

Now I'm all-in. If I'm going to work this hard and be away from my kids, it's on my terms.

Why "Full Joy"

Parenting is really hard. The mental load is enormous. The village isn't what it used to be. Parents are doing it all on their own, and we often can't enjoy our kids because we're just surviving.

Parenting should be full of laughter, happiness, and joy.

I started Full Joy Consulting to help parents reclaim that joy through the businesses that serve them. When your marketing reduces anxiety and helps parents make confident decisions instead of adding overwhelm, families benefit.

That's what Full Joy means. Living lives that are full of joy in all phases of parenting.

What makes me different

I bring Fortune 500 strategy at startup-friendly pricing. I've launched 100+ products and managed large budgets.  Everything I do is grounded in human insight and authentic parent experience, not templates and theory.

I catch what other consultants miss because I'm living it: The difference between "busy" and "decision-fatigued." Why 10 PM browsing should change your social strategy. How guilt-reduction converts better than urgency.

I understand the market forces reshaping your landscape—declining births, platform fragmentation, trust deficits. And I only work with businesses genuinely trying to help families.
